Responding to Facebook’s recent post about bear attacks by decades, I hastily reviewed my files and discovered Alaskan bear attacks:Number Year(s)

7 2016, 2014, 1984, 1980, 1975
6 1998, 1985, 1949

Hard to believe it’s been a week since leaving he ER. Thanks to antibiotics and a gracious God I have had ongoing positive results and have gone from a "2" to nearly an "8." Before you know it, Big Nasty will be back…with a softer tone. Blessings to all.
When I left the ER Wednesday, September 28, and awaited my ride, I witnessed Anchorage’s beautiful Chugach Mountains backdrop, sprinkled on top with snow from a recent drop. I was grateful to be going home and my thoughts were of the Master’s matchless majesty. I thanked Him for the medical help I’d received and for the privilege of being on the planet. I wish you all good health.
Pain and persistent children drove me to Urgent Care which referred me to the ER and ultra-sound. Results? Doc prescribed antibiotics to remove 3-week-plus infection. Wow. Pain reduced greatly, getting back to "normal." Thanks Daryl Young, ANP; Ed Eppler, MD; Tori, ultrasound guru and Tom Price, RN…and, did I mention Alaska Regional? Mon. was a 2, now, Sun. about a 7 to 8. Hopefully I’ll be able to write more regularly.
